Filip's Airsoft Journey: Finding His Place in the Fujin Family
Filip has been playing airsoft as a proper sport for about three years now. Before that, back when he was around ten or eleven, it was never something he took seriously, just fun with mates.
How It Started
What brought him back was seeing how much the sport had evolved. The equipment, the technology, the games themselves had all moved on so far from what he remembered as a kid. His friend Erik invited him to his first game after a long break, and the passion came straight back.
Finding His Feet
When Filip first started, his loadout was about as basic as it gets. Camouflage trousers he already had at home, an old green t shirt he was not using anymore, and almost everything else borrowed from friends.
Today things look completely different. He is slowly building the loadout he has always pictured, with every new piece getting him closer to the setup he has in his head.
The hardest part at the start was not gear, it was finding his place in the community. Over time he realised airsoft players are like one big family, and everyone is willing to help if you ask.
Finding Fujin
Filip first discovered Fujin through a guy who goes by Grim, who has always been genuinely helpful whenever he had questions about the sport. He kept seeing Fujin turn up in Grim's posts and fell for the brand fast. Being a big fan of Japanese culture and design already, it did not take much convincing before he knew he had to get some Fujin gear.
Since becoming part of Fujin, Filip says he feels a greater sense of responsibility. He wants to improve his skills, and his English, because one day he would love to stand on the same field as the rest of the Fujin team. Being part of the community gives him extra motivation to keep improving.
The Kit That Made A Difference
Filip currently owns three or four pieces of Fujin clothing, but his favourite by far is the Combat Tactical T-Shirt. He would not trade it for anything, calling it the best piece he owns for breathability, comfort, and how lightweight the material feels.
Looking ahead, Filip would love to see Fujin move into tactical trousers, and maybe even ballistic rated airsoft eye protection. He thinks either would be a strong addition to the brand.
What Fujin Has Actually Changed
For Filip, the biggest thing Fujin has given him is opportunity. It opened doors that would have been difficult to open on his own, and it has pushed him to grow, not just as an airsoft player, but as a person, with a genuine drive to help represent and promote the brand.
